In response to market demands for a high quality reliable large format scanner to handle large, inflexible and mounted documents, art and graphics, Big Color Output of Cape Coral has added the Vidar TruScan Titan Atlas designed to handle documents up to 40 inches wide by any length. Big Color Output can now scan and copy just about any document from unusually thin paper to 1/2 inch (12 millimeters) thick dry mounted originals. With a single scanner Big Color can now scan water color renderings, maps, posters and other color graphics - even those mounted on thick foam core boards, and blueprints, engineering drawings and other documents that are generally monochrome and found on thinner paper. Oversized documents have long presented a difficult challenge to reprographics organizations.

Oak Brook, IL - The International Reprographic Association has announced that Big Color Output, Inc. has met all standards for the Inkjet Qualified Certification Program, a quality assurance initiative created to identify outstanding producers of wide-format color inkjet graphics. Developed by IRgA in conjunction with the Clemson University Graphic Communications Department, the Inkjet Qualified program establishes technical performance standards as well as guidelines for communications and professional conduct. Big Big Color Output is one of 100 Founding Charter Qualified Sites in the nation.

In order to qualify as a certified IQ site, Big Color Output was required to participate in Inkjet Qualified's comprehensive in-house training program, and demonstrate competency in color accuracy, file management, finishing and other technical processes affecting image quality. The course also focused on customer communications and service standards. Before receiving final approval, candidate shops are required to sign a six item pledge agreement, committing the company to uphold the technical performance and ethical integrity of Inkjet Qualified certification membership.
